Penny Stock Advice - Penny Stock Investing

So what is penny stock investing? Penny stock investing is simply the investing in a stock that trades on the market at a value of less than one dollar. Of course, there are some who have slightly different definitions but for the most part, that's what it is.

Still there are some in the industry who only consider a penny stock a penny stock when it's value is below a dollar and is not traded on the main stock exchanges. This, is still a matter of personal opinion as the definition of what a penny stock is, is it's value and not the exchange it's traded on.

Typically a penny stock can be invested in with a rather tiny investment, which is nice, but along with that comes the fact that it is not a proven company and that the data about a particular company with penny stocks may be outdated or incomplete. In addition to that, penny stocks are not required to file certain reports with the SEC and because of this you will not have these to analyze.

Now, penny stocks also come in a variety of different titles but all mean the same thing: they're penny stocks. You might hear them being called nano stocks or small caps or even micro stocks. One of the reasons that penny stocks have this variety of names is because they are often the stocks put out by companies that do not have very large capital funds.

Even if it appears that there are some perils to investing in penny stocks, it is still a good way for one to get into stock investment and if one is very diligent with their research and study of trends, one might find themselves investing in a company that rises out of the cellar and into the high dollar amounts per stock.

As with all stock trading, research is your best friend. Avoid taking the advice of someone else and investing in a penny stock solely on what he or she says. Do the research yourself, pour over any and all of the financials you can get your hands on and make an informed decision with all of that information taken into the mix. There are far too many people who tout a certain penny stock, or 'normal' stock for that matter, who's interests lie in promoting it via touting it.
